Teeing off the other thread about a 10 YO in a high back booster, my 8 YO is still in a five point harness. She’s 55 lbs and maybe 54 inches or so, under the height and weight requirements for the seat. She hasn’t been asking to switch, but is there any reason we should move her to the high back with seat belt?
I would double check that seat label. You think you have a five-point harness that fits a four foot six inch child *in the harnessed configuration*? And is in-date?
Yeah, the 4 ft 6 inches part seems wrong. I have an 8 year old that is 4 ft 4 inches who is quite close to being big enough to sit in our main car without a booster. I looked up our previous 5 pt harness car seat (a nuna rava) and it tops out at 49" for forward facing. Cleks top out at 49" too, which was the other one I think of as recommended for taller kids. Maybe OP meant 44 inches tall?
