The problem to be solved is totally different.  Iron Dome was designed to stop primitive short range rocket fire from a small defined area (Gaza and its roughly 40 mile long border with Israel).  Golden Dome needs to protect the entire border of the US (over 100,000 miles) against sophisticated missiles, including ICBMs and hypersonics, that could be launched from multiple points, including mainland Russia or China as well as from the sea or from the air.  If Trump thinks it is remotely the same, he is a moron.  [/quote]
