You can ask if he wants to talk on the phone every once in a while. And be ready for bursts of communication - followed by long stretches of nothing. I'm like this with a lot of people, too. I go through a period where I am eager to message back and forth for two days. But then I'm sort of done for a while. I might not want to talk to anyone or might want to talk to someone else. ADHD is part of it for me - I have some anxiety but I don't think that's driving any of this. Take him on his terms! Otherwise you're going to have to marry him and live together.[/quote]
