True, but there will be a lot of pressure to be a star at Temple. Because if [b]he ends up being average at Penn he will still do great[/b]. If he ends up being average at Temple the future is less certain (not that he will live an awful life, but his potential outcomes will be a lot less selective). I think he is betting on himself being great at Temple and they will likely give him the support to do this. I wish him the best of luck.[/quote]

I know plenty of mid Ivy grads. You probably would not characterize them as 'doing great'. [/quote]

I have lots of Ivy classmates who were mid-level or below (with grade inflation if you don't have honors, you are pretty far from the top of the class) who are definitely doing great. Though everyone has a different definition of great.[/quote]
