The day the seniors receive their caps and gowns, they go to their old middle and elememtwry schools and parade through the halls while the younger kids applaud them and teachers come out to hug former students.  Then the grads pose for pictures in front of their elementary schools.

Our school has a lot of military kids who might not have gone to elementary or middle school in FCPS.  The school hosts something for them, but a lot of them choose to go with their friends back to the elementary schools since it is so much fun.[/quote]A tradition since when?  My oldest children graduated in 2014 and 2016 from a FCHS and there was nothing formal.  A few kids (maybe a dozen) went right when ESschool ended, but it was not a formal thing. [/quote]

Years.  Decades.

Perhaps as far back as when the school was built in the 1960s.

The seniors get their caps and gowns, put them on, and all drive to the elementary and middle schools.

Parents who are at home go and take pictures.

Are you sure your school doesn't do this?
