Walking shoes are designed for walking and specifically not for running. Your foot movement is a little different when walking v. running - it's actually not just a marketing gimmick. My son is in ROTC and kept getting blisters on his early Army ruck outings. Along with proper walking shoes (which the Army does not use), socks and just getting used to it help.[/quote]
