I've posted this elsewhere, but my kid was invited to try out for a top team. Didn't realize that formal offer had fallen through the cracks until coach followed up to see why we hadn't accepted offer--because we hadn't received one. Club rectified quickly. Other kid went to tryouts, didn't receive an offer, then I got an email from coach begging him to try out for the team. When I pointed out that he'd been at tryouts, we heard nothing, and accepted another offer, radio silence. These clubs have dozens and dozens of kids in their system, and it's very easy for someone to miss hitting a button.[/quote]
