Most of that research is specifically relevant to veterans or active duty (I.e rare cancers, burns, ovarian cancer). Really failing to see the relevance to national security here and why DoD should be funding this. If this research is so valuable; why isn’t HHS, NSF, NIH, etc. And I’m speaking as a mother who has a child who was born with a hole in his heart.[/quote]
