NP here. I work in the private sector and have never worked for the government. And I remember the pre-COVID days of having to commute everyday. And guess what? It sucked. I've been back in the office 2-3 days a week for three years now with an hour commute each way and I make it work but I still have at least 2 days a week at home. So at least there is balance. And if I have to WFH on a day where I am supposed to be in, my boss is cool with it. Because I don't work for a complete lunatic and I won't get RIFed because I need a little flexibility.

Five days a week in the office is completely ridiculous for most office workers. Not just Feds. Bring people back 2-3 days, fine. But if the president wants people to have more children, make it easier for people to parent. Yet, he can't even do that for people who work under him. [/quote]
