What a far reaching assumption from someone without direct experience with either Pitzer or Pomona! My DS is at the 5Cs and no one thinks or acts like that at all! In fact, not only has he taken classes across the 5cs as have found them equally challenging and interesting, but he has found engaged, interesting and intelligence classmates at every Claremont college. He has friends in all the 5cs and there is no “lower order”. Regarding varsity athletics, Pitzer and Pomona play on the same teams so there are strong bonds and friendships among teammates.
