Potomac Floral is open to the public. It’s in silver spring.
Thanks for this recommendation. The website recommends that you place an order ahead. Can you go in and browse, and pick up what you want? Is there a quantity or $$ minimum?
So, there’s no quantity minimum that I’m aware of. But, it is a busy wholesale place. You can walk in and browse in the cooler without ordering ahead, but there won’t be prices on anything and they’re usually too busy to help you. So you need to do a little research and know roughly the market price for stuff before you put it on your cart. You can do a little shuffling at the checkout if a price is crazy, but not a lot and you will get side eye especially if it’s busy. If you don’t have a wholesale account (you need a resale license), you will pay retail. Basically twice what the person next to you is paying. And it will be the same or more than what you would pay at Trader Joe’s or whatever. But the selection is 50x or something, even without pre-ordering anything. To be clear, they are super nice. They’re just busy and us random joes are not the main event. As long as you can sort of self-serve and you can go with a plan with vague pricing, it’s a good option.
