Talent ID is a little bit of both, generally always SOME sort of merit to them, but also there is a LOT of favoritism involved in the decision and at the end of the day the posts to social media are ALWAYS done for marketing, promotion, and FOMO.[/quote]

Outside of a very small number of obvious standouts, most of the youth national camp rosters are indistinguishable from each other and for that matter, no different than most of the rest of the players from the regional ID centers. They could easily replace most of the players with others and it would look the same. How do certain players "break through" while others don't? Lots of factors but politics, connections, coaches, brand name clubs absolutely plays a big part. Despite what some clubs in the area may tell you, those connections are not strong in this area.[/quote]
