"Starting with the Class of 2026, Applicant notification of the decisions regarding admissions will be no later than April 30 each year." Fcps has generally been notifying decisions atleast two weeks before this deadline. But this year it appears they will be notifying the one week before April end.
This is ridiculous. College Decision Day is May 1. PhD Decision Day for many programs is April 15. Private high school decisions were due late March. The initial acceptances were sent out many weeks prior. Summer plans and fall courses need to be decided on and scheduled. TJ should have their test earlier if this takes so much time.
College Decision Day and Ph.D. Decision Day are completely irrelevant. Why do you think those dates are relevant to TJ admission notification dates? You may as well list other random days. Jefferson's birthday is April 13. Tax Day is April 15. National Jelly Bean Day is April 22. Shakespeare's birthday is April 23.
I don’t. But I am waiting on the TJ decision. And that is the only one left by a mile. The points is that these other institutions do their best to leave you with ample time to plan out your summer (and fall). Again, the initial acceptances are delivered way in advance of these decision days. If you had children spanning many years, you would understand. Many families, including the children themselves, want earlier notifications than late April. Summer classes start in early June. I would rather have the TJ tests administered earlier to be notified earlier.
