I regret that purchase for ethical reasons, since mined diamonds are usually the product of exploitation and abuse of vulnerable populations, both physical and sexual. I do not own lab diamonds, but if ever I'm in the market for a diamond, I will absolutely buy a lab one. Why would this have anything to do with social climbing?
