I feel like we got about a decade when people didn’t smell like tobacco smoke all over and now it’s weed smell everywhere. One decade of decent smelling air. Oh well. I’m also super concerned by how often I am overwhelmed with the weed smell when I am sitting at a red light with my windows up or walking through a crosswalk. How much are people smoking in their cars that the smell lasts in a crosswalk after they have already driven off? That does not seem safe.
100%. I keep telling my husband that the worst part of sitting in traffic now is being overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana - from other cars. It's disgusting. Also, to the PP who suggested that the OP was exaggerating the "faint" smell of marajuana, you've obviously never experienced the absolute knock you over smell fro a person's clothing that is literally everywhere - in stores, theaters, etc. It's not a faint smell if it is overwhelming to people standing 6-10 feet away in a fairly open space. With that said, there's no way to prohibit people from smelling a certain way, so it's the new reality. I will still complain about smelling it when I walk my dogs at 7 a.m., when I drive to and from work, and when I go to the store.
