Three times a week I work out at home with 5 lb weights. I am going to stay at someone else's house next week and can't bring the weights. I would like to not lose momentum. I don't think pushups will help, but ... will they? Are there arm exercises I can do without weights for my biceps and deltoids, etc.? Holding a can of beans won't cut it.
If all you are using are 5 lb weights, honestly you would not lose much with cans of beans. You could use half-gallon jugs of water as well. Why would you not think that pushups (which work laterals, obliques, rhomboids, deltoids, biceps, triceps and pectoral muscles simultaneously) would work? I am guessing that you can’t do a full push-up with proper form, but you can do them on your knees or on a chair seat or wall (or, if I am wrong and you are great at them), you can do about 20 variations to make push-ups harder.
