It’s not bad, but not great. You don’t necessarily need a tutor. A lot of it  is online supplemented with zoom classes recorded as they assume many kids will need to miss.   Since kids are by definition sick - it’s seems a bit less than a full load. So generally it doesn’t keep full pace with a class in school.  That’s where you may need a tutor in a subject if your kid comes back feeling behind. You can still see what your current class is doing so in the case of math could track both.  In a subject like English - it’s a bit different curriculum - but we were not concerned they missed their current class work.

That said some of the classes the way they are tested online automatic are a bit frustrating -but eventually you get there.   So expect some frustration and you may need assistance.  Would suggest you go in and look at what your kid has to do on Edmonton not just canvas.

Not all “core” classes are covered which is the weird thing too.So you will need to work with your counselor and may have a hybrid of solutions to navigate.  That’s where it can be frustrating.  Electives are another issue. That said - everyone in the process was super nice and supportive of our kid - focusing on their health and recovering.
