This is just silly.  "shame and revenge"?  They are both extremely wealthy, and their end game is a reversion to a less socially liberal society which does not engage in egregious wealth transfer from the successful to the less successful "just because", which doesn't think past discrimination justifies current discrimination, and so on.  There's no shame in that, and no revenge for anything except perhaps for past taxes paid under our progressive tax system where successful people pay disproportionally more than others, just because they are successful and others want their money. Correction, they are not wealthy, they both owe a lot and are desperate to lower interest rates by hook or by crook. 
They are ashamed because their idiotic acts were laid bare and laughed at, and instead of accepting blame they turn their shame into rage at those who simply called a spade a spade.

Keep kidding yourself.  Very wealthy people are extremely confident, with good reason.  Shame is not in their vocabulary; self-flagellation is not how they became successful, whether or not you like their politics.  Poor people, on the other hand, who have no success to point to....[/quote]

Both Trump and Musk were BORN extremely wealthy. Musk has made money, but Trump has not. He's declared bankruptcy many times, and it's very likely he's deep in debt to the Russians. Musk feeds at the Federal trough, raking in billions in government contracts.

I don't know that either of them is good at business. Musk invested in a lot of companies, and Tesla took off. Some of the other companies failed or didn't go anywhere. That sounds more like rolling the dice than business acumen.
