I honestly don't know how you don't see that the US on the path to full authoritarianism. They are detaining people with tourist visas for days and not giving a reason. Sending individuals with no criminal records, no evidence of crimes, in compliance with asylum processes, to a prison in El Salvador. Deporting people with green cards because they don't like their speech. They ignore court orders, have a drug addled unappointed rando giving orders, want to make it illegal to literally exist as a trans person, I could go on. I know it is hard to accept how bad things are getting. They are choking our freedoms slowly and it is easier just to go on about our lives without worrying about the people who can't.[/quote]
