If you have looked at any senior living places then you know this is not the norm. It looks like a nursing home. It's run down and gross. I pass it daily. It's nothing like the Kensington or even the Jefferson which is also very cheap. I don't know how much it is a month, but it's too much. [/quote]
It is a nursing home (skilled nursing facility/rehab). And that is exactly the problem - it is an SNF that is supposed to be regulated by Virginia Department of Health. They are licensed to administer medications and they cannot do so safely as previous posters have mentioned. This is exactly what Fairfax County Board of Supervisors does not seem to want to acknowledge. They are too focused on bragging about all the Medicaid beds that will be available. Who cares if there are beds if the care is negligent? People look at reviews and think this place is safe. They take a tour and see a decent lobby and think the place is clean. Eldercare consultants are recommending this place. Many people are being duped. It is sad and very scary. [/quote]
