Actually I just looked at more pictures and it looks to me like a pit - boxer mix.  So bite strength may have been greater than an average boxer.  But clearly  trauma background that was triggered by a pretty normal residential family life issue.  Glad his kids were not there and his friends were able to help him get to ER quickly.  [/quote]

Go look up what a Boxer is, what it's descended from, and what it's natural jaw strength is. You don't need to call it a pit mix. Boxers have plenty of jaw strength on their own.
