Gonzaga is definitely not a safety for most applying to Diocese schools or the other independent Catholics. That said, the admission rate is empirically much higher at Gonzaga than, say, STA, GDS, Potomac, SFS or Maret. I totally agree that the typical applicant is applying to those very different schools, but it’s certainly not in the lowest tier of acceptance rates in the area. It is significantly larger than all other private high schools in the DMV area with a class size of 250. Most are around half that or less.[/quote]
