There was an incredible study done w/ older woman (I want to say 65+) that had never lifted weights and began a program of weight lifting. The results on bone health were incredible. But also agree with others that you have to make sure your form is correct, so not a bad idea to pay for a few personal training sessions if you think you need some help in that department. I'm in my mid-40s, and was a cardio slave. Have really bumped up my weights (my heaviest is probably 20lbs for squats, with 10-15 lbs for most else). I've seen terrific changes in terms of body shape.[/quote]
