Also a personal note.  I played football at a now P4 college.  It was one of the higher academic ones.  Now a biglaw partner.  I was not drafted although my agent thought I could be a late round pick.  I was signed to a team as a free agent.  I made the practice squad and I said I will give it a year.  I only made 60k that year.  The next year I went into camp and only made practice squad again.  I did not sign and went straight to law school.  Not worth doing that again for me.
