The management and administration staff are not good. They have limited outside experience and it shows. They also don't seem very friendly.
I disagree! I have a parent there (independent living) and am always struck by the culture of courtesy and caring throughout the building. Lots of activities (ranging from “sit and watch this live stream of a bird feeder” to “lecture on European geopolitics by Former Ambassador X”), friendly people, good food. I especially appreciate the ways they support downsizing — you can borrow flower vases from the art room, they’ll set up a spare bed if you have an overnight guest, there’s a whole closet of equipment you can borrow (from crockpot to walker). Basically all those things your parents refuse to get rid of, saying “But I might need this…”
PP, the activities, residents and staff are great. My comment was only about the management team and administration.
