[quote=Anonymous]I think a perinatal psychologist and psychiatrist will serve you best - for that try 5 Trimesters Clinic at GW or Georgetowns women’s mental health group (the one that was already suggested here). I think the Georgetown group is good - saw them years ago. PACE moms is also a great group for general social connection and support. You can do a search on psychology today for therapists who do telehealth and take BCBS. I found my therapist that way. In terms of practices, there’s not a ton of groups that take BCBS (I did an extensive search recently) but Bethesda counseling and mosaic therapy services in Kensington take BCBS. Orchard mental health does, too, and all do telehealth. All in MD. They may have waitlists. Orchard also does medication management, they have a team of psychiatric Nurse practitioners so it’s not quite the same as seeing a perinatal psychiatrist, but it’s an option and can get you seen quickly and more inexpensively than seeing someone like Barbara Byers who was charging 550 for an initial consult when I last checked.
