It is a hugely popular tourist destination for much of the world, particularly South Asians and Middle Easterners and Europeans. You'd know this if you went to Dubai regularly. I can see the word tacky being used if referring to bling bling and excess, but gross is pretty strong. Have you been to Dubai? Where do you go? Where is the office and the hotel you stay in? It's a remarkably clean and pretty orderly city so I don't see where gross fits in. [/quote] Agree. I highly doubt PP has set foot there.
