[/quote] You get off the cruise ship and it feels like you are in an American strip mall except that there are more mexican people holding signs up selling excursions. I think there’s a Starbucks and a hooters, etc. if you booked through the ship they will take you directly from a meeting place on the ship to the bus. It’s probably a 10-20 minute drive to the dock and then they’ll put you on a boat. It’s about as low risk as you can imagine. I agree other places in Mexico might be a little more problematic. There’s a lot of border towns with factories that basically only make things for export to the U.S. like dishwashers. Places like that might have layoffs and there might be a fair amount of anger.
