conan, matt damon, ben affleck, mindy kaling, chris evans, amy poehler, jeremy strong, steve carell, seth meyers, adam sandler, john krasinski, sarah silverman, ayo edebiri, bj novak, mike birbiglia, jenny slate, louis ck, matt leblanc, mark wahlberg, eliza dushku, the list goes on....
Not all, but many, of these celebrities grew up with wealthy, super professional parents that could support their child enough to explore acting and create arts for long enough without them feeling pressure to support themselves and establish careers otherwise. I don’t know the background of everyone on this list, but BJ Novak, John krasinski, Mindy kaling, Jenny slate, Conan, Steve carrell, and Seth Meyers would all be considered as growing up rich.
I know BJ Novak personally. He came from an UMC household and there seemed to be some family money in the mix; his dad was a well-regarded ghost author for celebrities. He went to Newton HS with Krasinski. I know him from the Harvard circles. There were literally like 15 kids from Newton HS that he knew growing up at Harvard with him. The amount of kids that Newton HS sends to Harvard is nuts.
+1 Mindy Kaling also UMC "Rich" is a whole other level, not immigrant parents that included a doctor
