But this is exactly what triggers people. The right is dividing us by insisting that so many "illegals" come here for "free care". It's inflammatory and they make blanket statements about ER rooms being full of illegals.

Then the rest of us look at the data and it's not supporting that, but someone does have to pay for that care, however large or small it is. Once everyone has calmed down, we get the anecdote like this one poster asking about benefits for one elderly person and it sets everyone off again. [/quote]
