No one from Fox Mill wanted to move from Oakton, I am not sure why anyone would create a split feeder at Crossfield during that time. I wasn’t aware that it was there.
Two words: Stu Gibson Many parents in that neighborhood wanted to remain with most of Crossfield students at Oakton. A few wanted to go to South Lakes. It split friendships.
I think you are confusing two neighborhoods. Fox Mill Estates is its own neighborhood with a neighborhood school called Fox Mill. No one from Fox Mill Estates goes to Crossfield. The neighborhood in Reston that goes to Crossfield is called Fox Mill Woods. It's a completely different neighborhood from Fox Mill Estates.
I stand corrected: https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/local/1999/10/20/in-reston-a-civil-war-over-school-board-vote/6480a593-a2c9-491c-87b5-d4b3d0fd0529/
Yes. I'm the PP who mentioned Stu Gibson. But, I was thinking that this was about the South Lakes Boundary. I don't live in that neighborhood, but I knew people who did. It was ugly. But, I was referring to Fox Mill Woods. Again, people do not like change in boundaries.
