And he further doesn’t like that rather than being transparent about this, they are pretending that being transparent would “add stress” to students. Fact is—they don’t want their admissions classes to be only kids who score 1550-1600 on the SAT. They want kids who score better than 90% of the peers *from their given high school* so that the makeup of the class will be diverse. But it’s strategically diverse because they are still taking high-achievers and “winners” from their respective environments!
