Hi everyone, I’m Anees Merzi, the founder of 703 Warriors and a firm believer in breaking down barriers and disrupting the status quo. Growing up, I faced many of the same obstacles that prevent countless kids from accessing opportunities they deserve. I promised myself that if I ever had the chance, I’d do something to make a difference. Last December, I built up the courage to launch 703 Warriors, an initiative driven entirely by passion and love. A lot of the hard lessons I’ve learned in life, I’m now trying to impart to these kids, helping them grow into resilient, confident individuals who are prepared for success both on and off the field. Our vision is to prepare these kids for the next level. Through our 4 free programs, we equip them with the skills to thrive. Around age 12, our goal is for these kids to be ready to take the next step, whether that’s in competitive soccer at large clubs, other sports, or outside the lines. I also want to take a moment to clear up any confusion about our relationship with Arlington Soccer Association. Someone mentioned that I started this out of spite, which couldn’t be further from the truth. My kids have never attended travel tryouts for any soccer club. In fact, Arlington Soccer Association (Frank and Melissa), have been incredible partners in supporting our Youth Development Program along with Girls on the Run, Travis Manion Foundation, Youth Outreach Unit, National Center for Missing and Exploited Kids, and other amazing nonprofit partners. We wouldn’t be working together if we were competing. I’m here to answer any questions, address concerns, or clarify what we’re doing and why. Thank you for supporting our mission and joining us on this journey to uplift the next generation of upstanding citizens. Let's continue the conversation with facts and transparency!
