Did you always have food noise? Can you get back to what your thoughts were in general before food noise?
Pretty much, always. But it's worse right now and I can't seem to break the cycle. I binge a lot. I have been trying to lose weight for about five years. Prior to that, I was high 120s/low 130s which is where I looks and feel the best. I cannot stand myself. I feel like a quick fix through meds is what I need, and once I am at my goal weight, I think I'll feel motivated to stay there and not return to my disgusting eating habits. There is a spa in my area which offers semaglutides and I'm thinking of signing up for a consultation with them. I figure I can't be alone in wanting to lose a few pounds and would really love to hear experiences from others who've done this.
You are at your most motivated now, it would seem, as you are considering serious medication. Consider finding out what calories you need to maintian your goal weight and eating at that level for six months. You will not be a new person after the meds nor do you need to be. You are capable as you are. Either way, good luck and tell us how it goes at 6 months and a year, for those of us in the same place as you.
OP. Thanks. I do know what I need to eat to get to my goal weight. My problem is, I lack the willpower to do it. I feel motivated, but then hunger hits, and I want 12 nuggets, waffle fries and a milk shake from Chick Fil A. I feel like an addict who can't just eat a little bit of bad stuff. When I eat bad food, I always binge on it. If I could eat well for six months, I have no doubt, I would reach my goal weight. My problem is that I have not been able to resist binge eating terrible foods - fried food, chocolate, cookies, cakes.
