$10-20. I would go up to $20 if your delivery place is difficult (stairs, no parking, heavy/bulky items). If the delivery person works for Shipt then the person is already receiving a good base rate. FYI that my Amazon Fresh driver refused his tip this morning.
I am a Shipt shopper. We do not receive a good base rate and are highly dependent upon tips. We also use our own car and gas to haul your delivery. We get $7-$10 on average for a $175 grocery shop that takes at least an hour to shop if all goes right. 15-20% for good service is expected. 10% is stingy unless service was so-so.
I know I am responding to an old thread but just responding to pp. why would a 10% on a delivery be stingy? 10% on 175$ is 17.5$, it’s quite generous. The amount of work a pick up driver does picking up a 15$ pizza or a 3-4 bags worth 175 is pretty much the same. I can understand tipping 20-25% to a server and team who have prepared the food/ been helping you have a great meal over the course of 1-2 hours, but why would a driver need to be tipped 20-25% as well?
Because your lazy ass doesn’t want to leave the house. You have to pay for that service cheapskate.
