OP here - our trip is in summer, so my quick search yielded several flight options. We booked the Pompano Beach Club and are so excited! Their communication has already been top notch.
That's exciting! I'm the pp who suggested it. I hope you enjoy! Also, there's no bad room there, though some may be more updated than others, and there are lots of stairs (it's a very vertical island, which helps guard against hurricane flooding but makes it challenging for people with limited mobility). We always get one of the rooms w a bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room for our kids.
That sounds like what we booked and we are all very capable of stairs! Any tips on favorite things to do there? We'll be there 5 nights, so 4 full days. Also curious how the dinner plan worked. When we visited on the cruise we did the fort by the dock, Hamilton one night (crowded and hot!), Horseshoe Bay Beach, and a glass bottom boat cruise. This time, I think we'll just do beaches, walk that trail, maybe see the caves? It sounds like the kids can fish right at the hotel, which they'll love.
We stayed in one of the rooms up the stairs with the living room/bedroom option. We had a nice patio area with grass outside. Great views of the ocean and sunset. We went to the caves and it was a good excursion. Went by bus. It took a while but much cheaper than a cab. Also walked around Hamilton and did a little shopping. Pompano had 3 pickleball courts and you can ask to borrow paddles and balls at the front desk. We did dinner out a few times. Our favorite is the Fourways Inn. It’s very old school but we love it. Think Caesar salad, steak Diane done table side. If you are golfers, the port royal course is right next to Pompano.
