Totally agree! I really wanted to like " Maria" because it got so much buzz at Cannes. But, it was boring AF. Whoever suggested Lady Gaga as a better choice to play the role...spot on![/quote]

It wasn’t me, but Gaga was also my first thought when I learned about the film. She would have been perfect and looks more like her too.  I wonder if she was approached or sent the script.[/quote]

Then you aren't familiar with his work. That's why the academy didn't respond well to his previous movies. He let's it slip then gets called out for it many times. He picked Kristen because of her past with paparazzi and cheating scandal like Diana. He picked Angelina because she's a tabloid fodder and has a mysterious aura like Maria. [/quote]
