Reminder:  wasn't that long ago that conservatives got all kinds of outraged about the suggestion that people should eat less junk food and corn-syrup-laden sodas.  And Sarah Palin defiantly hoisted a 64 ounce big gulp of Coca Cola to thunderous applause at CPAC.

Uhhh that CPAC conference was 2013.  Just 11 years ago.  Not even remotely ancient history or warranting a comparison to what Republicans and Democrats were many lifetimes ago in 1865.

At that time, Democrats were banning chicken nuggets in school lunchrooms across the country and imposing onerous taxes on sodas.
