Yes and it was an absolutely insane storm. OPM closed too. It rolled in on a Friday morning and about 2 dozen schools were still without power by Monday. It was bad, and it was I think early March too so it was also very cold. [/quote]

My memory is it was in Jan/Feb, but I could be wrong.  We live with a forested park in our backyard and watched 4 trees go down in that storm.  It was a good call from our perspective. [/quote]

Here’s my PSA about roofs following storms: That 2018 storm damaged my roof, which was 19 years old. The roof started leaking when it rained hard. The shingles on our house had been discontinued, so we couldn’t just replace some of them. Homeowners insurance covered the cost of a new roof ($16,000), minus our $1000 deductible. Anyone with an older roof should have it inspected after a storm with really high winds or hail, because homeowners insurance covers that kind of damage. Generally, you have one year from the date of the storm to file a claim.[/quote]
