Stop eating so much. Realize what you are doing and just stop. Every time you are about to put unnecessary food in your mouth, think about it and make a choice. Gaining 30 lbs. is tens of thousands of excess calories.
I know this of course! And 80% of the time I do it. The issue is what I mentioned above. I get in this stress and anxiety zone and it's like all of a sudden I cannot make a choice, like there is no choice. When I was taking semaglutide, I NEVER felt that way. I could be utterly stressed and I didn't want any food.
Have you been weighing yourself regularly? I think that is key to being accountable for what you are eating. If you start eating poorly and avoid the scale, you will lose accountability. You need to be able to see the pounds adding up in real time, not stepping on the scale months later to see a 30 lb gain. That is avoidance.
I do, always. But before this scale I was using an old one which told me I was 145 (I am 5'2) which is too much, but still within my "I've been there and can get down to a better weight" realm. This new scale told me I am 156lbs!! Now that is nearly obese and feels like a red alarm going off.
