Could have given another option to kids along 16th Street and an easier commute for OOB kids from all over the city. As is you'll have a lot of OOB kids transferring from the C81 to C85 to get to Hardy and Mac, or taking the C81 to MacArthur Blvd and getting a bike/scooter/whatever the remaining 1.5 miles to high school.
