I've had both, and I feel like the hard-sided is more in style, which is pretty much why I have it. But before that I had soft, and traveled with it for work quite a bit. I feel like it was easier to pack in the soft sided one if that makes sense? Although perhaps it was the shape and size and not the fact that it was soft sided? But the soft sided wore out and looked beat up much faster than the hard sided. You can really go with either. [/quote]
