Not expensive at all for a club but that's still a significant cost for a family in this already expensive area.  To assume that everyone who wants to join can afford that is ridiculous.[/quote]

Exactly 👆 Compare that to what it cost to join a rec soccer, basketball or football team.  Yes, when families start to join club teams in those sports the cost go up but that is also the reason that not everyone joins those.  Those clubs also recruit and provide financial aide.
