In which case, 99 percent of the people will be in jeans. It’s a dc house party. This is still my world in dc after 25 years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone show up in a dress to a run of the mill rowhouse party. This is not a dressy town.

Or is this a party for a specific purpose? Ie holiday party, celebrate the new client, etc? Is it specifically a work party? Or is it just someone your fiance knows from work?

And who are these “fed lawyers” who are so rich and glitzy? (I’m a law firm partner in dc and make five times the top paying fed lawyer salary, and our row house parties in dc are still jeans mostly, so I’m having a hard time imaging what fed lawyer is this fancy.)
