I really enjoy making West Sedona, north of 89A my home base as there is a great variety of nice Airbnb’s and there are several trailheads that are walkable and that link to a broader network (including devil’s bridge). Sugarloaf mountain trailhead is my favorite.

If you want to stick with a hotel, check out the new Ambiente Landscape hotel. It’s adults only, incredibly beautiful, and has a spa. L’Auberge de Sedona is also a gorgeous, creekside location and is in town. Amara Resort is also nice.

Make sure to check out Indian Gardens Cafe for a true, non touristy feel and great food. It’s close to Slide Rock State Park, some less populated trailheads, and also on the way to Flagstaff if you’re craving a change of scenery.

We also have enjoyed Creekside American Bistro, Shorebird, and Elote Cafe. Mariposa is also an incredible experience with amazing sunset views.

The best shopping is in Tlaquepaque, primarily art and jewelry in my opinion.
