You’re getting me motivated OP. I’m 160 at 5’3 :( I think my biggest problem is I didn’t realize I had gained so much weight because my clothes from when I was 120 still fit me. I gained 40 lbs since covid. I bought skirts to be my measuring test. Stretch clothing is one of the leading causes of obesity. I’m convinced I wouldn’t have let my weight balloon so much if my clothes weren’t fitting and I had to buy new clothing
What are you doing, PP? I weighed in yesterday and I was around 156.5ish, so down around 1.5 in a week. I’m sure it was water weight, but it’s nice to see the scale moving down. I’ve generally stuck to my 120-130g protein, 1200ish calories. Last night I did have a treat meal of pizza and wine and feel kind of gross today.
I am an NP and I started trying to lose weight about a month and a half ago. I'm only down 4-5 lbs but I'd like to lose 15 total so that's decent progress. To my horror, I'm finding that I also feel gross after my treat meals, particularly salty snacks or carb based meals. That was how I felt all the time prior to 6 weeks ago, just very bloated, but I guess I'm getting a new sense of normal maybe. I hope it doesn't totally ruin junk for me, but I suppose less temptation would be good.
what have you been doing that was successful?
