It prints out a visitor badge. The first time, it also takes a photo but on subsequent visits, it prints out with the same photo. If you are just picking up yoru kid, you still have to show your license but it's only to check that the name printed on it matches the name of a person authorized to pick up the child. They do not capture the other information on your license. If you are uncomfortable with the ID scan, you don't have to volunteer at the school. There's no requirement to do that. [/quote]
