I guess what I'm trying to say is that it is a volunteer run organization and noone is doing this to maximize profits or anything like that.  
They are not concerned with their win/loss record enough to cut a kid over a marginally better player.
So like the above poster said, noone really seems to get kicked off the team.

If you just want some volleyball between high school seasons, this is a good option if you can get a spot.
If you want a full service organization with a dedicated facility and highly competitive play, this may not be the organization for you.

I thought you will be offering some alternatives, but I also appreciate the additional thoughts. A lot of clubs will give priority to their returning players over a better player (not even marginally better). We had a player who sat on the bench for most of the JV season and she got back on her club team. My DD was a starter on the JV team and she was not offered a position on that team. Some clubs know that they are the "safe option" for good players and don't even bother offering them positions. Offering a spot to such a player may keep other players on the waitlist: these players may choose other teams by the 10 pm deadline, so the club may lose them. [/quote]
