Carson parent: The presentations all told us that kids in regular classes will do all reading in class, many times reading aloud as a class, while in Honors kids will have some reading to do at home. You can expect homework in Honors but it is less likely in the regular class. Honors will go in more depth on topics and students are expected to write more. [/quote]

My kid is in AAP classes, so honors equivalent, and has been fine. He has not struggled in school though so that is not a surprise. I can’t say what the kids are like in other classes because most of his friends are in Honors or AAP. Carson pulls from schools that are pretty strong and it is an AAP Center so I would guess that the regular classes are fine but I just don’t know.[/quote]
