My DD is 10 and she has three friends whose parents are paying between 7-8 grand to take their kids to see Taylor Swift in another city. She was momentarily sad that she can't go too but it is really not a financial option for us, and even if it was, I don't know that I would spend that kind of money. She gets it. A couple of her friends are just devastated and their parents feel terrible and are trying to figure out a way to go. Is this going on at other elementary schools? We do not live in a keeping up with the Joneses part of NoVA so this just seems a little odd to me.
Cry me a river OP
This is OP. I am not crying about it. I am asking if this is something other people are seeing in their elementary schools; specifically the expensive resale tickets. If I had the opportunity to go within driving distance for a couple of hundred bucks I would.
This doesn't happen at our elementary school, and I think a lot of parents would have the resources to make it happen.
